BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – One day after being chosen as the Ohio Valley Conference Golfer of the Month for March, senior Elsa Moberly was picked as the OVC Women's Golfer of the Week on Wednesday.
 
Moberly helped EKU capture the team title at the 2019 Colonel Classic on Saturday by finishing first overall in the 81-player field.  She opened with a round of 2-under 70 before shooting two straight rounds of 1-under 71 for a three-round total of 212 (-4).  She beat the field by four shots.
 
The Somerset, Kentucky native led the Colonels to a 13-shot victory over second place Northern Illinois University at the University Club at Arlington. 
 
Moberly started the final round tied for second, but just one shot out of first place.  The senior beat a group of four players tied for second – Josephine Chang (216) from the University of Kentucky, Ellie Cronin (216) of Dayton, Ragnhildur Kristinsdottir (216) from EKU and Nicole Smiley (216) of Ohio.
 
The Colonels will conclude the regular season at the Murray State Jan Weaver Invitational on Friday and Saturday at Miller Memorial Golf Course.
