RICHMOND, Ky. – Eastern Kentucky University's women's golf team finished second at the annual Colonel Classic, by one shot, on Tuesday at the University Club at Arlington in Richmond.
 
EKU shot a final round 306 and posted a 3-round total of 921.  Youngstown State jumped to first after a final round 304 that gave the Penguins a total of 920.
 
The 10-team field completed 54-holes over two days.
 
Claira Ramsey Eden led the Colonels and finished second in the 63-player field.  Eden carded a final round 1-over 73 for a total of 222.  She finished one shot behind YSU's Neeranuch Prajunpanich (221).
 
Butler (925) was third and Marshall (939) finished fourth.  Akron (940) rounded out the top-5.  The final five were IU Indy (958), Southern Illinois (961), Bellarmine (972), Northern Kentucky (977) and Southern Indiana (979).
 
Karra Tucker turned in a top-10 finish after firing rounds of 76, 76 and 80.  Her 54-hole total of 232 tied for ninth.
 
Imogen Jessen shot her best round during Tuesday's final round, carding a 1-over 73.  She tied for 13th with a total of 233.
 
Lanie Campbell (234) tied for 17th and Mary Keene Marrs (243) tied for 35th.
 
Playing as individuals, Maddi-Jo Benton (241) and Elizabeth Tucci (241) tied for 30th.  Cami Beuret (243) finished tied for 35th.
 
Arlington had a par of 72 and played to 6,069 yards.
 
The Colonels will compete in the Atlantic Sun Conference Championship April 17-19 at Dothan Country Club in Dothan, Alabama.
