RICHMOND, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University women's basketball team has announced the addition of Alice Recanati for the 2020-21 season.
Alice Recanati officially signed a National Letter of Intent to play basketball at Eastern Kentucky University and joins the program as a member of the 2020 recruiting class.
"Alice is a versatile guard who has the ability to play the point and off of the ball," head coach
Samantha Williams said. "An aspect that we love most about Alice is that she is a fierce competitor, no plays are taken off on either end of the court. She brings a cerebral presence to the position and will help us in being able to score the basketball as well. We are very excited to have Alice join our EKU family."
Recanati is a 5-foot-9 guard from Bergamo, Italy. She most recently played for Team 86 Villasanta where she averaged 13.1 points per game. Recanati previously played in Pordenone, Italy with the club Sistema Rosa in Division B averaging 10.3 points per game and in Venice with Umana Reyer Venezia in Division C averaging 13.7 points per game. She won with Umana Reyer Venezia the U20 Italian Championship in 2018 and 2019 and won the U18 Italian Championship in 2019. She placed second in the U18 Italian Championship in 2017.
