ARLINGTON, Texas – The Eastern Kentucky University women's basketball program, in conjunction with the United Athletic Conference, announced its 2026-27 conference schedule on Wednesday.
 
EKU, the reigning Atlantic Sun Conference Regular Season Champions, will begin its inaugural season as a member of the UAC with a 16-game conference slate that opens Jan. 6 and concludes March 6.
 
The Colonels fellow UAC members include Abilene Christian, Austin Peay, Central Arkansas, Little Rock, North Alabama, Tarleton State, UT Arlington and West Georgia. EKU will face each opponent twice as part of the home-and-home conference schedule. Fans can view the most up to date 2026-27 schedule online here.
 
The Colonels will open the new UAC slate hosting longtime rival Austin Peay, the 96th meeting between the two programs, on Jan. 6 at Baptist Health Arena. The following day, EKU will fly to Tarleton State for a matchup on Jan. 9 in Texas marking the first UAC road game in program history.
 
EKU will return home to host North Alabama on Jan. 13 and Abilene Christian on Jan. 16 before traveling to West Georgia on Jan. 20. The Colonels then wrap up January with road games at Little Rock on Jan. 27 and Central Arkansas on Jan. 30.
 
EKU returns to Richmond for its longest home stand of the conference season, a two-week stretch to begin February hosting UT Arlington on Feb. 3, Tarleton State on Feb. 6, and Little Rock on Feb. 13.
 
The Colonels close the month with road games at UT Arlington on Feb. 17, Abilene Christian on Feb. 20 and North Alabama on Feb. 24 before returning home to host West Georgia on Feb. 27.
 
To conclude the regular season, EKU hosts Central Arkansas on March 3 before traveling to Austin Peay on March 6. The inaugural UAC Women's Basketball Tournament is scheduled for March 10-14.

Last year, EKU captured the ASUN Regular Season Championship, the 11th conference title in program history, finishing with a 25-9 overall record and a 15-3 mark against league opponents. EKU head coach Greg Todd was named ASUN Coach of the Year while four Colonels earned all-conference honors, including two first team selections.
 
The Colonels return three members off last year's team and added eight players out of the prep and portal ranks. EKU's full 2026-27 roster can be found online here.
