EKU Women's Basketball Hits The Road To Take On SoCon Foe Chattanooga On Friday Afternoon

RICHMOND, Ky. – Eastern Kentucky University's women's basketball team hits the road to take on Chattanooga out of the SoCon on Friday afternoon.
 
Tip-off is scheduled for 4 p.m.

INSIDE THE SERIES
- This will be the fourth all-time meeting between the two teams.
 
- Eastern leads the all-time series between the two teams, 2-1
 
- The Colonels defeated the Mocs last year, 71-65, in Richmond.  
 
THE COLONELS
-  Eastern comes in at 2-2 (2-0 OVC), after defeating in-state rival Morehead State, 74-59, Monday night in Richmond.  
 
-  Alice Recanati posted her best game as a Colonel, posting 17 points, nine rebounds, and five assists in the win against in-state rival Morehead State.
 
-  Jayla Johnson in just her second game at Eastern chipped in 16 points, five rebounds, and two steals against in-state rival Morehead State.
 
-  The Colonels moved to 2-0 in conference play for the first time since the 2016-17 season.
 
 
SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
-  Chattanooga comes into the contest, 2-3, after knocking off Austin Peay, 65-64, in Clarksville on Tuesday.
 
-  Eboni Williams lead the way for the Mocs posting a team-best 14 points, six rebounds, and four blocks in the win against Austin Peay.  
 
-  Chattanooga had four players record double-digit points in the road win against Austin Peay on Tuesday.
 
-  The Mocs rank 16th in the country in blocks per game.

Eastern Kentucky wraps up the non-conference portion of its schedule next Tuesday, when the Colonels travel to Big Ten foe Northwestern. Tip-off is scheduled for 2 p.m.
