EKU Basketball Hosts Rival Morehead State in Regular Season Finale on Saturday

RICHMOND, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University women's and men's basketball teams will wrap up the regular season by hosting rival Morehead State in a doubleheader at McBrayer Arena on Saturday.

The women will tip at 4:30 p.m., followed by the men at 7 p.m.

Senior Day will be celebrated before both games.

WHAT TO KNOW

 
EKU (14-16, 11-6 OVC) fell at first-place Murray State, 74-62, on Thursday night.
 
Sophomore Jomaru Brown led all players with 24 points at Murray State.
 
Brown enters Saturday's game six points shy of 1,000 for his career.
 
Freshman Michael Moreno chipped in 11 points at Murray State. Senior Lachlan Anderson came off the bench to grab a team-best 10 rebounds.
 
Eastern has locked up the No. 4 seed in the upcoming OVC Tournament in Evansville. The Colonels will play the winner of the No. 5 / No. 8 game in the quarterfinals on Thursday, March 5, at 7:30 p.m.
 
 
SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
 
Morehead State (13-17, 7-10 OVC) has lost five of its last six games. The Eagles fell at Austin Peay, 66-58, on Thursday.
 
Jordan Walker paces Morehead State offensively at 12.3 points-per-game.
 
This is the 194th all-time meeting between EKU and Morehead State. The Colonels lead the series, 110-83, and won 78-71 over the Eagles in Morehead on February 13.
