The Colonels (8-14, 2-9 OVC) closed the opening quarter on a 6-1 run to cut the Panthers lead to 19-11 after the first quarter.

Eastern cut the EIU lead to six, 21-15, after four straight points by Green but the Colonels could never get any closer.

The Panthers opened the third quarter on a 7-2 run to take a 44-24 lead over the Colonels. Â
