CHARLESTON, Ill. – I'Liyah Green posted a team-high 11 points and six rebounds, but the Colonels fell on the road Thursday night to Eastern Illinois University, 85-38.
 
The Panthers (13-9, 7-4 OVC) scored the first nine points of the game and opened the first quarter on a 19-7 run take the lead and never give it up.  
 
The Colonels (8-14, 2-9 OVC) closed the opening quarter on a 6-1 run to cut the Panthers lead to 19-11 after the first quarter.
 
Eastern cut the EIU lead to six, 21-15, after four straight points by Green but the Colonels could never get any closer.
 
The Panthers opened the third quarter on a 7-2 run to take a 44-24 lead over the Colonels.  
 
Qay Stanton posted six points off the bench. Emma Hacker chipped in six points.
 
Lariah Washington posted a game-high 17 points, five rebounds and three assists on the night. Karle Pace chipped in 16 points.
 
Eastern shot 28 percent from the field on the game. EIU shot 53 percent from the field.
