CHARLESTON, Ill. – The Eastern Kentucky University women's and men's basketball teams will travel to Eastern Illinois for an Ohio Valley Conference doubleheader on Saturday at Lantz Arena. The women tip at 2 p.m. ET, followed by the men at 5 p.m. ET.

EKU (11-2, 5-1 OVC) hit 16 three-pointers en route to a 90-80 win over Tennessee Tech last Saturday at McBrayer Arena. The Colonels are now off to their best start to a season since 1952-53.
 
Junior Tre King poured in a career high 29 points in the win over Tennessee Tech.
 
Freshman Wendell Green Jr. recorded his first career double-double in the win over TTU, scoring 10 points and dishing out a career-high 15 assists.
 
Green Jr.'s 15 assists vs. Tennessee Tech are the second most by any player in the country this season, and the most by an OVC player since Ja Morant had 16 in the 2019 NCAA Tournament.
 
Green Jr. was named OVC Freshman of the Week for the second straight week on Monday.

Eastern leads the NCAA in steals-per-game (12.2) and turnover margin (+8.2), and the Colonels rank second in turnovers forced-per-game (21.5).
