RICHMOND, Ky. – During the month of December the Eastern Kentucky men's and women's basketball programs partnered with Toys for Tots to collect donations for children in need at all home games through Dec. 18.
Â
The partnership resulted in over 100 new toys being collected for local children.
The women's basketball team will be back in action on Tuesday when the Colonels play at Appalachian State. Tip-off is scheduled for 1 p.m. The men's team is scheduled to return to action on Dec. 31 at home against Alice Lloyd. The game will begin at 3 p.m.
Â
The mission of the Toys for Tots Program is to collect new unwrapped toys and distribute those toys to less fortunate children at Christmas. The primary goal of Toys for Tots is, through the gift of a new toy, help bring the joy of Christmas and send a message of hope to America's less fortunate children.
