EKU (14-4, 8-3 OVC) fell to Murray State, 76-64, on Saturday at McBrayer Arena.
Freshman
Wendell Green Jr. led the Colonels with 24 points and eight assists in the loss. Junior
Tre King had 17 points, five rebounds and three blocks.
Green Jr. leads all freshmen in the country with 103 assists.
Sophomore
Michael Moreno had had 13 points on 3-of-6 shooting from deep versus Murray State. Moreno ranks third in the OVC in three-point field goal percentage (44.9%) He is second in the OVC in the same category during league play (49.2%).
SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
SIUE (7-9, 5-5 OVC) fell at home to Belmont, 94-62, on Saturday.
Sidney Wilson leads the Cougars offensively at 13.8 points-per-game.
This is the 14
th all-time meeting between EKU and SIUE. The Cougars lead the series, 7-6. The Colonels have only won once at the Vadalabene Center, a 70-50 victory back on January 18, 2011.
