Soccer Drops Tuesday Afternoon Match to Jacksonville State

RICHMOND, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University soccer team fell to Jacksonville State, 4-0, on Tuesday afternoon.
 
EKU (1-3-0) outshot JSU (1-3-0), 20-15, and attempted seven corner kicks to the Gamecocks' two; however, it was the visitors who capitalized on their opportunities.
 
Alicia Pallister and Gabriel Clarke scored two goals apiece for Jacksonville State.
 
The Gamecocks led only 1-0 at halftime, but scored three goals in a span of 15 minutes early in the second half to pull away.
 
Sophomore Maddy Lemery attempted a game-high six shots on the day, two of which were on frame. Sophomore Audrey Anderson fired four shots, while senior Taran McMillan put two shots on goal.
 
The Colonels return to action on Friday when they travel to Clarksville to take on Austin Peay at 3 p.m. ET.
