RICHMOND, Ky. –
Eastern Kentucky University's women's basketball team opens ASUN play on Wednesday night against Central Arkansas.
 
Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m.

INSIDE THE SERIES
- This is the first meeting between the two teams since 2014.
 
- The Sugar Bears lead the all-time series between the two teams, 2-1.
 
- The Colonels won the last meeting between the two teams, 56-55.
 
THE COLONELS
-  The Colonels (7-6) come into the contest winners of their last three games after knocking off the University of the Cumberlands, 79-72, last Friday.
 
-  Bria Bass and Jayla Johnson lead the way offensively for the Colonels. Bass posted her first double-double of the season with a career-best 26 points and 14 rebounds. Johnson chipped in a career-high 27 points and seven rebounds.
 
-  Johnson ranks fifth in the league in scoring averaging a team-best 14.7 points per game.    
 
-  Alice Recanati ranks first in the conference in steals and steals per game. Recanati ranks 36th in the country in steals on the season.
 
-  The Colonels rank 31st in the country in steals per game and 22nd in overall steals.
 
 
SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS
-  Central Arkansas comes into the contest at 5-6, after knocking off Jarvis Christian, 71-63, on Sunday in Conway.
 
-  The Sugar Bears are led offensively by Lucy Ibeh who ranks fifth in the conference in scoring with 14.7 points per game and first in the league in rebounding with 10.2 per game.  
 
-  Ibeh was named ASUN Player of the Week after posting 25 points and 21 rebounds in the win against Jarvis Christian.
 
-  Central Arkansas ranks 62nd in the country in rebound margin.

Eastern Kentucky hits the road for the first time in ASUN play on Saturday when the Colonels take on in-state foe Bellarmine. Tip-off is scheduled for 2 p.m.
