CINCINNATI, Ohio – Despite the short distance, Eastern Kentucky and Cincinnati will meet for just the 11th time on Sunday.

INSIDE THE SERIES
- Cincinnati is 10-0 in the series. Eight of the 10 games have been played on the Bearcats' home court.
- In the most recent meeting, Eastern Kentucky had a two-point lead over Cincinnati with 4.6 seconds left in regulation, but the Bearcats sent the game to overtime with a last second shot and earned an 85-77 victory on Dec. 20, 2008 at Fifth Third Arena.
THE COLONELS
- Eastern Kentucky (1-1) led against Western Kentucky for 25:36, but ultimately fell by six, 66-60, at home on Thursday. The Colonels led by as many as nine in the first half and took a five-point lead into the locker room at the break. EKU continued to lead through the first 10 minutes of the second half.

Cooper Robb led the Colonels with 11 points against WKU. He also had seven rebounds, an assist and a steal.

Isaiah Cozart grabbed a career-best 12 rebounds against the Hilltoppers.
- For the second straight season, EKU has set a new program record for season tickets. The crowd of 6,303 for the Western Kentucky game was the largest in more than 20 seasons.

DaShawn Jackson has scored in double figures in each of the first two games of the season. He followed a 16-point performance in the season-opener with 10 points off the bench against Western Kentucky.
- EKU out-rebounded WKU 44-36 on Thursday. For the season, the Colonels have out-rebounded their first two opponents by 31.
SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
- Cincinnati (2-0) has opened the 2022-23 season with wins over Chaminade (98-55) and Cleveland State (69-58).
- David DeJulius, a 6-foot guard, leads the Bearcats with an average of 21 points per game. He has shot 58 percent from the field and dished out a team-best nine assists.
- Through its first two games, Cincinnati has shot 49 percent from the field.

- Viktor Lakhin, a 6-foot-11 forward, posted a double-double against Cleveland State. He hit 6-of-7 from the field and scored 14 points. He grabbed 12 rebounds and blocked three shots.
