INSIDE THE SERIES
- The Colonels lead the all-time series with Jacksonville State 24-13 and have won three of the last four against the Gamecocks.
- The last time the two teams met, JSU won 76-65 in Richmond on Jan. 15, 2022.
Braxton Beverly had 18 points to lead Eastern Kentucky. Jalen Gibbs had a game-best 21 points for the Gamecocks. Brandon Huffman added 10 points and 13 rebounds.
- Jacksonville State shot 57 percent from the field while holding EKU to 35 percent shooting.
THE COLONELS
- Eastern Kentucky is 12-16 and 4-10 in the ASUN after falling at Central Arkansas, 83-76, on Saturday.
- The Colonels cut a 20-point first half deficit to three in the second half at UCA, but couldn't complete the comeback.

Michael Moreno is averaging 20 points and 6.0 rebounds per game. During that span, he has hit on 54 percent of his shots from the field and 44 percent from behind the 3-point arc.
- EKU broke the program record of 327 three-pointers in a season when Moreno knocked down a three with 1:06 left against Central Arkansas to get the Colonels within three, 77-74. The previous record for 3-pointers made in a season was set in 2009-10.
- Eastern Kentucky is closing in on the program record for steals in a season. The Colonels have 296 this year. The program mark is 321 set during the 2014-15 campaign.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
- Jacksonville State is 18-9 overall and 11-3 in the ASUN. The Gamecocks have won two in a row, including an 82-67 victory at Bellarmine on Sunday.
- Gibbs hit on 7-of-12 from the field, including 5-of-10 from behind the 3-point arc, on his way to scoring 22 points against Bellarmine. Darian Adams had 21 points. JSU shot 55 percent from the field and hit on 48 percent from deep (15-of-31).
- Adams, a 6-foot-3 senior guard, leads the team in scoring (15.5 ppg) and is second in assists (3.9 apg) this season and is third on the team in rebounding (5.4 rpg). He has hit 40 percent of his shots from the field and 81 percent of his team-high 97 trips to the free throw line.
- Gibbs, a 6-foot-3 senior guard who transferred from Mount St. Mary's, is second on the team in scoring at 11.2 points per game. Demaree King, a 6-foot junior guard, has a team-best 77 three-pointers and contributes 11.1 points per game. Huffman, a 6-foot-10 senior forward/center, is the team's top rebounder at 5.9 boards per game while scoring 9.3 points per contest.
