RICHMOND, Ky. – Eastern Kentucky soccer (1-2) begins a six-match home stand this weekend at the EKU Soccer Field, starting with Akron (1-0-2) on Friday, Sept. 2 at 4:00 p.m. ET and Wright State (3-1) on Sunday, Sept. 4 at 1:00 p.m. ET.
Both events are free to the public, gates will open 90 minutes prior to the start of each contest. Fans not able to attend in person can view each match on ESPN+.
The Colonels look to get back on track to kick off the September slate of matches after dropping a 4-0 decision on the road last Sunday against in-state foe Kentucky.
Lauren Seedlock, a fifth-year transfer from Radford, has been active this year after being named the EKU starting keeper. The Simpsonville, S.C. native has 14 saves through three matches, with a season-high seven saves in a 2-1 win at Chattanooga.

- Sunday's matchup is the sixth meeting between the Raiders and Colonels, WSU leads the all-time series 3-1-1.

Scouting the Zips
- HC Jen Simonetti is in her seventh season as the leader of the program and has accumulated a record of 43-39-11.
- Akron has tied its last two matches on the season at Marshall (2-2) and Oakland (1-1).
- Freshman Emma King leads Akron with two goals on the season, her .833 shot accuracy percent ranks 14th in the country.
- Sophomores Caitlin Bruni and Morgan Pentz round out the other two goals Akron has scored this far, with a goal apiece.
- The Zips have used two goalkeepers this season, Penelope Cuirinier has played two matches with six saves and Maxima Carlitz has one start with six saves.
Scouting the Raiders
- Travis Sobers, a 2003 graduate of Wright State, is in his second season at the helm of his alma mater with a 8-11-3 record.
- Wright State will play Butler on Thursday before making its way to Richmond, the Raiders have a record of 3-1-0, defeating ASUN opponent Bellarmine 2-1, Miami (OH) 1-0, and Central Michigan 3-0.
