Colonels Host Bellarmine Saturday For "Crowd The Coliseum" Night

RICHMOND, Ky. – Rivalry Week wraps up Saturday when Eastern Kentucky University hosts ASUN Conference in-state rival Bellarmine in the second of two meetings this week against the Knights.
 
Special FREE "Crowd The Coliseum" t-shirts will be given out while supplies last.
 
The game is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. ET and will air live on ESPN+.  The live radio broadcast of the game is available in the Richmond area on WCYO 100.7 FM, or worldwide on EKUSports.com.
 
INSIDE THE SERIES
-  EKU leads the all-time series 4-2.  The Colonels won the first three games in the series.  In three meetings as members of the ASUN each team has won on its home court. 
 
-  Bellarmine's Garrett Tipton hit a long 3-pointer with 0.2 seconds left in the game to give the Knights a 72-71 win on Thursday in Louisville.
 
THE COLONELS
-  EKU (13-9, 6-3 ASUN) is tied for third in the ASUN Conference with Stetson.
 
-  The Colonels are third in the nation with 14 offensive rebounds per game.  EKU pulled down 12 boards off the offensive glass on Thursday and turned them into 18 second-chance points.
 
-  Michael Moreno got hot and finished with 21 points against Bellarmine.  He hit 8-of-16 from the field and 4-of-9 from 3-point range.  All four of his 3-pointers came in a period of 2:34 in the second half.
 
-  Moreno moved into 15th place on EKU's all-time rebounds list with nine rebounds on Thursday.  He is 13 points away from moving into 20th place on the program's scoring list.
 
-  Isaiah Cozart recorded his third double-double of the season, finishing with 12 points and 10 rebounds against Bellarmine.
 
-  Tayshawn Comer had five assists and no turnovers in 27 minutes on the court against the Knights.  He is seventh in the ASUN in assists (3.77/game) and 10th in assist-to-turnover ratio (1.84).
 
SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
-  Bellarmine improved to 10-12 this season and 5-4 in league games.  The nights are tied for fifth in the conference with Lipscomb.   
 
-  Juston Betz led Bellarmine with 18 points on 7-of14 shooting against the Colonels.  He also had seven rebounds and four assists.
 
-  Peter Suder recorded a double-double – 10 points and 11 rebounds – before fouling out of the game on Thursday.
 
-  Bellarmine entered Thursday's game shooting 45 percent from the field.  The Knights hit on 52 percent against EKU and made 41 percent (12-of-29) of their 3-pointers.
 
-  Tipton, a 6-foot-4 redshirt senior guard, is the team's top scorer with 12.2 points per game.  He is shooting 49 percent from the field.  Tipton went 5-for-8 from the field and finished with 13 points on Thursday.
