RICHMOND, Ky. – EKU soccer opened its last home stand of the 2023 regular season suffering a 1-0 loss to Stetson (2-11-3, 2-5-2 ASUN) on Thursday evening at the EKU Soccer Field.
With two regular season matches left after Thursday's result, EKU (4-8-4, 3-3-3 ASUN) continues its chase for a berth to the Atlantic Sun Championship with six available points on the table.
Senior
Maia Ransom led EKU with four shots, one on target in 53 minutes of action. The Fairlawn, Ohio product has recorded a team-leading 22 shots in the program's last eight fixtures.
Midfielders
Kylie Fitzgerald and
Kaitlyn Andrews were EKU's other multi-shot performers. Despite Thursday's outcome, EKU outshot Stetson 15-to-9 and attempted two corners to the Hatters' zero.
EKU returns to action on Sunday hosting Florida Gulf Coast for the team's final regular season home match on the slate. Sunday's match is scheduled for a noon ET kickoff and can be viewed on ESPN+.
