LEXINGTON, Ky. – The EKU women's tennis team (4-13, 0-2 ASUN) dropped their final non-conference matches in a doubleheader against #45 Kentucky (10-7, 2-4 SEC) at the Hilary J. Boone Tennis Complex. The Wildcats won both matches by a score of 4-0.
 
Both teams elected to play singles first in the matches. In the morning indoor match, Emmeline Polevoi won the first set from the No. 4 position, but her opponent won the next two sets, as Polevoi lost 6-3, 0-6, 4-6.
 
Masha Fedenko battled in her singles match from the No. 1 spot, but she lost in a three-set thriller, 2-6, 7-5, 2-6.
 
Sasha Parkhomenko and Elena Tairian lost in singles play to clinch the match for Kentucky.
 
The teams played on the outdoor courts for the second match.
 
Jess Osborn made her first collegiate appearance for the Colonels, competing in singles from the No. 6 court.
 
The Wildcats won four singles matches to clinch the match.
