RICHMOND, Ky. – The EKU track and field teams compete at two meets this weekend, including the Bryan Clay Invitational hosted by Azusa Pacific on April 13-15 in Azusa, Calif. and the Mt. Sac Relays on April 13-15 in Walnut, Calif.
Joan Tapias, Jan Badia, and Amhed Kadri will compete in the 1,500-meters at the Bryan Clay Invitational. Badia ranks No. 8 in the ASUN in the 1,500-meters with a time of 3:47.58 at the Raleigh Relays. Kadri (3
rd / 3:48.53) and Tapias (7
th / 3:51.02) finished in the top 10 in the 1,500-meters at the Tennessee Invite.
Hakim Abouzouhir will run in the 5,000-meters at the Mt. Sac Relays. He has not competed in the event during the outdoor season, but he finished in fourth place in the 5,000-meters at the ASUN Indoor Championships.
Pedro Garcia-Palencia will compete in the 3,000-meter steeplechase and
Enock Kipchumba will run the 10,000-meters at the Mt. Sac Relays.
