RICHMOND, Ky. – EKU Athletics announced Thursday a partnership with the Maroon Fund NIL as an official sponsor of EKU Athletics and the premier collective.

The Maroon Fund was founded by a group of trusted and passionate supporters to improve the lives of EKU student-athletes during their tenure in college and into their professional careers.

"The vision and establishment of the Maroon Fund, together with this unique partnership, provides an important means whereby our dedicated and loyal alumni, friends, and fans can now support our pursuit of comprehensive success for our student-athletes in this new era of intercollegiate athletics," said Vice President and Director of Athletics Matt Roan. "Just as we encourage donors to give generously to the Colonel Club, businesses to partner with EKU Sports & Entertainment Partnerships, and fans to buy tickets, all for the benefit of EKU Athletics in the form of scholarships, facilities, and operational support, the Maroon Fund directly benefits our student-athletes and our business community alike through NIL success."

The Maroon Fund is designed to raise monetary funds from boosters and businesses to promote the Name, Image and Likeness of EKU student-athletes.  The primary purpose of the Maroon Fund is to assist student-athletes in learning life and entrepreneurial skills by partnering the student-athlete with a local business or charity to promote and represent their brand.  The Maroon Fund is designed to be a mutually beneficial relationship established primarily from the student-athlete's brand to grow or promote the business or charity.
