RICHMOND, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University Colonels recorded another stellar semester in the classroom in the spring of 2026. For the 29^th consecutive semester, EKU's all-athlete cumulative GPA was above 3.0.
 
As an athletic department, the Colonels recorded a 3.334 all-athlete GPA in the spring semester. For the first time ever, all 18 teams posted a term GPA above 3.0.
 
EKU volleyball led the way in the classroom, posting a department-best GPA of 3.78 this spring. EKU men's tennis boasted the highest GPA of any men's program with a 3.623.
 
Sixty-six individual student-athletes earned perfect 4.0 GPAs, while 123 were named to the Dean's List with at least a 3.75 GPA.
 
In all, 249 EKU student-athletes were named Colonel Scholars, which indicates at least a 3.0 term GPA.
