RICHMOND, Ky. – Coming off its largest victory of the season last Sunday, the Eastern Kentucky University soccer program is set to host North Florida and Jacksonville on Thursday and Sunday at the EKU Soccer Field.
Thursday's match sets up a meeting between No. 5 EKU (3-6-2, 2-1-1 ASUN) and No. 6 North Florida (4-5-2, 2-2-0 ASUN) as currently ranked in the Atlantic Sun Conference standings. The match is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. and will be Campus Recreation Day at the pitch. Those in attendance can participate in yard games and a special halftime promotion, Dreaming Creek Brewery will also be in attendance.

Fans are encouraged to arrive early on Sunday to partake in pre-match festivities against Jacksonville (2-7-2, 0-4-0 ASUN) that will begin at 11:30 a.m., the match will begin 30 minutes later after senior day is complete. Fans are also encouraged to stick around post-match to participate in a free team poster signing, courtesy of EKU Athletics Marketing.
EKU is coming off two results last week that garnished the program four points towards league play, handing Kennesaw State a 3-1 loss and playing to a scoreless draw at Queens. Through four ASUN fixtures, EKU has totaled seven points and has outscored opponents 4-2.
Through 11 matches, the Colonels have found nine goals from eight different student-athletes. EKU is led by freshman
Ruby Dunlevy who has scored a team-leading two goals.
With an assist last time out against KSU, junior forward
Gretta Gunn is up to four assists on the season and 12 for her career, which holds the program record. The West Chester, Ohio product currently ranks first in the conference and 71st in the NCAA in total assists.
EKU looks to continue its offensive approach during its next two-match series. In the team's last three games, the Colonels have outshot their opponents 40-23 and have attempted 18-5 more corners during this span.
