LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University men's golf team finished the Cullan Brown Collegiate hosted by the University of Kentucky in seventh place on Tuesday afternoon.
Anders Larson led the way for EKU as the Colonels' top individual finisher. The junior from Pine Island, Minn. Shot +10 for the tournament including an opening round 73 to finish tied for 13
th.
Larson finished the final round shooting par or better on four of the last five holes he played, and finished -3 for the tournament on par-five holes, the third best mark of any player.
Only two shots back was
Connor Gdovin who finished tied for 20
th at +12 for the tournament.
Gdovin saved his best round of the tournament for last carding a final round 74 (+3), with two birdies on the day.
Justin Begley finished 28
th individually at +22, his best round of the tournament was a second round 74 (+3) with back-to-back birdies on holes five and six.
James Corbin, who competed as an individual, and
Jackson Finney finished tied for 61
st at +22 for the tournament followed by
Zach Watterson at +28 finishing tied for 76
th.
