RICHMOND, Ky. – Eastern Kentucky University Athletics has announced a new partnership with Influxer to provide its student-athletes with the opportunity to monetize their name, image and likeness (NIL) with personalized merchandise.
Influxer is an officially licensed vendor with over 400 schools, creating co-branded apparel customized with players' names and numbers. Through this partnership, Influxer will provide education and training on marketing, entrepreneurship, and personal branding.
This partnership will allow every EKU student-athlete from every team the opportunity to create his or her own web page to showcase their personalized gear for purchase.
"We are excited to partner with Influxer and provide our student-athletes with another NIL opportunity," said EKU's Vice President and Director of Athletics Kyle Moats. "Our mission is to always do what is possible to enhance the student-athlete experience here at EKU, and we believe this partnership is another important step in that mission for all of our student-athletes."
"The NIL landscape is constantly evolving and working with Kyle Moats and Corey Neal has been an amazing opportunity to see the vision they have for EKU providing great options through Influxer for their student-athletes," said Influxer Vice President, Keith Miller. "They see this as not simply a transactional opportunity, but as an opportunity to develop long term skills for life."
In addition to its online store, the Influxer team oversees all fulfillment and customer service, while collaborating with EKU and its student-athletes on creative elements and marketing.
