RICHMOND, Ky. - The Eastern Kentucky University track & field teams have finalized their schedule for the upcoming 2024-25 Indoor season on Wednesday afternoon.
The Colonels will start the season and end 2024 with a split trip as part of the squad makes the trip to Louisville to compete in the KTCCCA Commonwealth Classic at the Norton Healthcare Sports and Learning Center. Meanwhile, another contingent of Colonels will head just a bit further north to Boston, MA for the Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener, hosted by Boston University. Both meets are scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 7.
The squad then gets a break for the holiday season before returning to action at the Bellarmine Open in Louisville on Jan. 17. A week later, the team makes their third trip to Louisville for the PNC Bank Bellarmine Classic on Jan. 24.
Splitting up once more, the Colonels will take on the Notre Dame Meyo Invite in South Bend, IN as well as the PNC Lenny Lyles Invite hosted by the University of Louisville with both meets scheduled for Jan. 31 through Feb. 1.
After a two week break, the Colonels split up for the third time. One squad will make their way back up to Boston for the David Hemery Valentine Invitational, hosted by Boston University. The other Colonel squad will take the short drive to Danville, KY for the Centre College Indoor Invitational. Both meets are scheduled for Feb. 14 through Feb. 15.
Making one last tune up before the conference championships, the team heads back to South Bend for the Alex Wilson Invite, hosted by Notre Dame on Feb. 22.
The ASUN Indoor Conference Championships are scheduled for Feb. 27 through Feb. 28, hosted once more at the Norton Healthcare Sports and Learning Center in Louisville. The NCAA Indoor Championships are set for March 14-15 in Virginia Beach, VA.
