EKU Baseball To Host Kentucky, WKU, Marshall & Morehead State As Part Of Non-Conference Schedule

RICHMOND, Ky. –
Eastern Kentucky University will host Kentucky, Western Kentucky, Marshall and Morehead State as part of its 2025 non-conference baseball schedule.
 
The Colonels are scheduled to play a home-and-home with the Wildcats on March 4 and March 5 with the first game in Richmond.  Marshall will visit Earle Combs Stadium on March 18.  WKU comes to town on March 19.  Northern Kentucky (April 8) and Morehead State (April 9) will play at EKU on back-to-back nights in April.

Of EKU's 26 non-conference games, 14 will be against teams that finished .500 or better in 2024.  The team will play 11 games against opponents who won 30 or more last season and will play five games against teams that earned spots in NCAA Regionals in 2024.
 
The 2025 season begins with four games in Mobile, Alabama.  The Colonels will face Kent State on Feb. 14 and Southern Illinois Edwardsville on Feb. 15 before closing out the event with two games against host South Alabama on Feb. 16 and Feb. 17.
 
EKU will then play three games at Ole Miss Feb. 21-23.
 
The first meeting of the season with WKU is scheduled for Feb. 25 in Bowling Green.  The Colonels will play Mississippi Valley State on Feb. 28 and March 1 in Carrollton, Georgia, the home of Atlantic Sun Conference newcomer West Georgia.  EKU will face UWG in a non-conference contest on March 1.
 
Following the home-and-home midweek series with UK, the Colonels will host Rhode Island for a 3-game series March 7-9.  The first of two games with Northern Kentucky will take place in Highland Heights on March 11.
 
EKU will play at Vanderbilt on March 25 and at Marshall on April 1.  Dayton will come to Richmond for a game on April 22.
 
The Colonels will play at Louisville on April 29.  The final non-conference game of the regular season is at home against Miami (Ohio) on May 6.
 
The ASUN Conference schedule was released in November.  EKU will host 3-game series with North Alabama, Lipscomb, Austin Peay, Central Arkansas and Bellarmine.  The Colonels will also play a 3-game series against each of those five teams on the road.  The ASUN will be split into two divisions this season.  EKU joins North Alabama, Lipscomb, Austin Peay, Central Arkansas and Bellarmine in the Northwest Division.  The Southeast Division will comprise Florida Gulf Coast, Jacksonville, North Florida, Queens, Stetson and West Georgia.
