Colonels Play In Berea Friday Night

RICHMOND, Ky. – Eastern Kentucky University's men's basketball team will play Campbellsville University Harrodsburg, at the Seabury Center in Berea, Kentucky, on Friday.
 
The game will begin at 7 p.m. ET and air live on ESPN+.  The live radio broadcast of the game is available in the Richmond area on WCYO 100.7 FM, or worldwide on EKUSports.com.
 
Fans who bring a new toy for donation to Toys For Tots will receive FREE admission.
 
EKU is playing four games at the Seabury Center on the campus of Berea College while construction continues on the renovation of Baptist Health Arena.  The first phase of the Baptist Health Arena renovation will be completed prior to the first Atlantic Sun Conference home game on Jan. 9 against North Florida.
 
THE COLONELS
-  EKU is 4-4 overall this season.  The Colonels ended a stretch of four games in seven days with an 84-74  loss at Troy on Sunday.
 
-  In his last four games, George Kimble III is averaging 4.0 steals per game.  He has had four or more steals in three of the last four.  The sophomore leads the ASUN and is 15th in the nation with an average of 2.63 steals per game this season.
 
-  EKU ranks 18th in the nation in turnover margin at +5.1 per game.  The Colonels are 20th in turnovers forced per game (16.5), 22nd in steals per game (10.0) and 119th in turnovers committed per game (11.4).
 
-  Turner Buttry didn't miss a shot at Troy.  He went 3-for-3 from the field, including 1-for-1 from behind the arc, and made all five of his free throw attempts to finish with 12 points.
 
SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
-  Campbellsville-Harrodsburg, a member of the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA), is 7-1 this season and coming off an 87-65 win at Miami-Middletown on Wednesday.  The game against EKU will be an exhibition game for the Pioneers, who have lost exhibition games against Linsey Wilson, Cumberlands and Johnson University this season.  
 
- The Pioneers are averaging 81.5 points per game this season.  CUH has scored 71 points per game and allowed 98 per game in its three exhibition losses.
 
-  Warner Bryan, a 6-foot-7 senior forward, leads the team in scoring (13.1 ppg) and rebounding (5.9 rpg).  He has shot 64 percent from the field this season.
 
-  The Pioneers have averaged 18 assists on 29 made field goals per game.
 
INSIDE THE SERIES
-  The Colonels are 1-0 all-time against Campbellsville-Harrodsburg.  The only other meeting between the two programs was on Dec. 17, 2020 when EKU won 118-54 in Richmond.
 
-  A first half 15-0 EKU run fueled the Colonels victory in the first meeting with CUH.  Tre King finished with 24 points and grabbed 12 rebounds for the Colonels.  EKU shot 58 percent from the field for the game, out-rebounded the visitors by 19 and scored 37 points off turnovers.  The EKU bench scored 78 points.  The Pioneers made 31 percent of their shots and turned the ball over 25 times.
