Rubio Miralles Breaks School Record For 600 Meters, Dworczak Breaks Indoor Polish National Record For 5,000 Meters To Highlight The Weekend

RICHMOND, Ky. – Irene Rubio Miralles broke the school record for the 600 meters at the Music City Invitational this weekend in Nashville, posting a time of 1:34.68 to finish in eighth place. Nikodem Dworczak crushed his own indoor Polish national record for the 5,000 meters, posting a time of 13:51.92 at the David Hemery Valentine Invite in Boston. His time is the fifth-best in school history.
 
At the David Hemery Valentine Invite, Maria Cano posted a personal-best mile time of 4:47.23. Then, Khadija Ennasri clocked a personal-best 3,000-meter time of 9:22.82, which is the fourth-best in school history.
 
On Saturday in Boston, Taha Er Raouy ran his second sub-8-minute 3K of the season, posting a time of 7:56.74 to finish in 18th place out of 164 competitors. Jackson Siddall clocked a personal-best 3,000-meter time of 7:59.67.
 
Hakim Abouzouhir posted a personal-best 5,000-meter time of 13:46.79, which is the third-best in school history.

At the Music City Invitational, Senda Garma posted a personal-best weight throw of 14.99m in her EKU debut, which is the third-best in school history.
 
Samuel Carter finished in eighth place in the long jump, posting a season-best 6.89m.
 
On the track on Friday, Alex Cundiff clocked a personal-best mile time of 5:02.58. Sonia Koech posted a personal-best 5,000-meter time of 17:37.54.
 
The Colonels got off to a hot start in Nashville on Saturday, as Cesc Boix earned a ninth-place finish in the unseeded 3,000 meters, clocking a personal-best time of 8:19.64.
 
Carter won the triple jump for the first time this season, posting an indoor-best 14.92m.
 
T'ya Suber ran an indoor-best 400-meter time of 56.89. Shortly after, Brandon Snell posted a personal-best 400-meter time of 51.17.
 
Jan Badia finished in ninth place in the 800 meters, posting an indoor-best time of 1:50.59.
 
Aniol Borras posted a personal-best 3,000-meter time of 8:12.96.
 
Next Up
The Colonels will compete at two meets, which include the Arkansas Last Chance Qualifier on Feb. 16 and the Alex Wilson Invitational hosted by Notre Dame on Feb. 17.
