RICHMOND, Ky. – Eastern Kentucky University's
Kristian Imroth of the men's cross-country and track and field program was named as a Third Team Academic All-American by College Sports Communicators on Tuesday afternoon.
The 2025-26 Academic All-American® Men's and Women's Cross Country/Track & Field teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in athletic competition and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes cross country/track & field honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA.
Imroth earned the honor this year with a 3.66 cumulative GPA while working on an MBA at EKU. He won the 1,500 meters at the ASUN Outdoor Championships and clocked the 16
th-fastest 3,000-meter steeplechase time in the NCAA this season en route to finishing third at this year's outdoor national championship.
The Englishman becomes the first Academic All-American from the men's program since Hakim Abouzouhir and
Taha Er Raouy in 2023 respectively.
