EKU Clinched ASUN Championship Berth Last Week

RICHMOND, Ky. – Fresh off its 20th win of the season, the first team to do so since 2004-05, EKU women's basketball returns to Atlantic Sun Conference play hosting in-state foe Bellarmine on Saturday afternoon at Baptist Health Arena.

Saturday's game is scheduled to tip at 4 p.m. EST as the latter of a doubleheader with the men's program.  Fans looking to secure tickets for Saturday's game can do so online here or at the box office for just $5.

Those not able to be in attendance can tune in via ESPN+ or 92.5 WEKY with Wes Chandler on play-by-play and Julie Muntz serving as analyst on the call.

EKU (20-8, 8-5 ASUN) is coming off its 20th win of the season in a road non-conference game at Chicago State on Tuesday.  The win in the Windy City secured a 12-3 non-conference finish for the Colonels, the best non-conference record since 1975-76.

EKU and Bellarmine meet for the second time this season in ASUN West Divisional play, securing a 79-66 win in Louisville earlier this season.  EKU, currently in 4th-place in the ASUN, clinched its berth to the conference championship two wins ago and is fighting for a host-bid being one of the top four teams in the final standings.

The Knights are currently in 10th-place in the ASUN standings and if the season ended today, would be the last team to qualify for the conference championship in early March.  North Florida is one win behind, and Queens is two wins behind Bellarmine for the final spot in the field.
