NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Eastern Kentucky University will be the No. 1 seed in next week's Atlantic Sun Conference Men's Basketball Tournament. The Colonels concluded the regular season with an 81-67 loss at Lipscomb University on Friday.

EKU will begin play in the ASUN Tournament quarterfinal round on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Baptist Health Arena in Richmond. The Colonels will play the winner of the first round game between No. 9 seed Kennesaw State and No. 10 seed Jacksonville, which will be played on Monday at 7 p.m. at Baptist Health Arena.

EKU will host each tournament game it plays in. The semifinals are scheduled for Thursday at 7 p.m. The championship game will be Sunday, March 10 at 2 p.m.

The Colonels (17-13, 12-4 ASUN) went up nine, 43-34, on a free throw from
Isaiah Cozart early in the second half. However, Lipscomb answered with an 11-2 run. Will Pruitt's 3-pointer tied the game, 45-45, with 13:50 to play.

EKU scored the next two baskets to go back on top, but the Bisons strung together a 16-2 run to take control of the game. Pruitt's two free throws gave the home team the lead, 50-49. Grant Asman's lay-up with 8:56 to play capped the run and handed Lipscomb a 10-point lead, 61-51.

Leland Walker led the Colonels with 21 points.Â
Michael Moreno grabbed a game-best 11 rebounds.Â

Pruitt had a game-high 23 points to go along with 10 rebounds for Lipscomb (20-11, 11-5 ASUN).

The Bisons shot 57 percent in the second half and 47 percent for the game. Lipscomb held EKU to 34 percent shooting in the second 20 minutes and 27 percent shooting from 3-point range for the game (4-for-14).
