JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Sophomore
Elizabeth Tucci finished the UNF Collegiate strong on Tuesday, tying her career best round of 69 (-3) finishing the tournament tied for 9
th overall.
The Maryland native recorded four birdies in the final round after she wrapped up the second round of the competition in the morning with a 71 (-1).
As a team, the Colonels moved up and finished in 13
th place, shooting 877 (+13) as a team across the three rounds, with tournament best 284 in the final round.
In the final round,
Rylea Marcum and
Mattie Jo Neeley were in the red with both carding 71's (-1).
Marcum's round featured the team's first eagle of the Spring earning it on the 484-yard par five, first.
Dili Sitanonth and
Elisa Orduna Shackleton rounded out the scoring on the day for EKU posting final round scores of 73 (+1) and 77 (+5) respectively.
The Colonels will next compete at the Jackrabbit Invitational hosted by South Dakota State at Boulder Creek Golf Club in Boulder City, Nev.
