WAYNESVILLE, N.C. – The Eastern Kentucky University men's golf team finished the final round of the JT Poston Invitational on Tuesday in eighth place as a team.
The Colonels finished the tournament at 17-over, shooting 857 across the 54-hole tournament. EKU's best round of the tournament came on the first day as the Colonels finished the day tied for second shooting a 278 (-2).
Anders Larson and
Jackson Finney were the highest finishing individuals for EKU, tied for 24
th at four-over for the tournament.
Larson's best round came in the second, carding a 69 (-1) including an eagle on the par-five tenth.
Finney posted his best round on Sunday with an opening round, 70 (E) with 14 pars in that round.
Connor Gdovin finished the tournament, tied for 32
nd at five-over with. Gdovin posted EKU's best individual round for the tournament along with
Justin Begley on Sunday with a 69 (-1).
Begley finished tied for 37
th at eight-over for the three rounds.
Rounding out the Colonels' performance was
Zach Watterson who finished tied for 46
th at 10-over.
