NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Eastern Kentucky University's men's basketball team will play at Lipscomb on Thursday before returning home to host Austin Peay on Saturday.
Thursday's game in Nashville will begin at 8 p.m. ET. Saturday's contest is scheduled for 4 p.m. ET. Both games will air live on ESPN+. Saturday's game will also air live over the air and on area cable systems on WBON-TV, providing coverage from Richmond to West Virginia. Saturday's game, presented by Metronet, will be Superhero and Local Heroes Day at Baptist Health Arena. THE COLONELS
- EKU (10-11, 4-4 ASUN) is coming off an 81-77 victory over first place Florida Gulf Coast on Saturday. The Colonels' last two losses have come in overtime and by one point on a buzzer beating halfcourt shot.
- The Colonels have out-rebounded their last two opponents by 20 rebounds. EKU had 11 more boards (41-30) than Stetson and nine more (38-29) than FGCU. In those two games, the Colonels have pulled down 34 offensive rebounds while their opponents have only gotten 10.

Mayar Wol scored a career-best 18 points while playing a career-high 32 minutes against Florida Gulf Coast. He also tied career-highs for field goals (6), field goal attempts (11), 3-point field goals (3), free throw attempts (4) and rebounds (9).
- EKU handed out 17 assists against FGCU. It was the first time the Colonels had more than 12 assists in a game since recording 17 against Central Arkansas on Jan. 2.
SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS
- Lipscomb is 14-7 overall and 6-2 in ASUN games. The Bisons' two league losses were to Queens at home (75-73) and at North Alabama (74-64). Lipscomb beat Central Arkansas, 68-55, on Saturday.
- Jacob Ognacevic, a 6-foot-8 forward who missed last season due to an injury but was a first team All-ASUN pick in 2023, leads the team in scoring (18.5 ppg) and rebounding (7.9 rpg). He has hit 56 percent of his shots from the field. Lipscomb leads the conference in scoring defense (65.7 ppg) and defensive field goal percentage (41.1 percent).
- The Governors are 8-13 overall and 3-5 against league teams. Austin Peay lost 88-84 in overtime at North Alabama on Saturday. APSU will host Bellarmine on Thursday.
- LJ Thomas, a 6-foot-2 junior guard, leads the team in scoring (13.9 ppg) and is second in rebounding (4.7 rpg). Sai Witt, a 6-foot-8, 270-pound forward, is coming off a 21-point/11-rebound performance against UNA. As a team, APSU is last in the ASUN in scoring (68.1 ppg).
INSIDE THE SERIES
- Lipscomb leads the all-time series 3-2. The Colonels are 0-3 in games played in Nashville. In the last meeting, the Bisons earned an 81-67 victory on March 1, 2024 in Nashville. EKU went up nine, 43-34, in that game early in the second half. However, Lipscomb strung together a 16-2 run to take control of the game.
Leland Walker led the Colonels with 21 points. Will Pruitt had a game-high 23 points to go along with 10 rebounds for the Bisons.
- Austin Peay leads the all-time series 67-57. The Colonels are 32-24 against the Governors in games played in Richmond. APSU won the most recent meeting, 97-90 in overtime, on Jan. 16, 2025 in Clarksville.
Turner Buttry's season-high 19 points helped EKU overcome a 17-point deficit in that game, but the Governors scored the first eight points of the extra period.
George Kimble III led the Colonels with 27 points. APSU's Tate McCubbin hit nine 3-pointers and led all players with 38 points.
