EKU is at home again this weekend for our annual Kids at the Kidd and Hall of Fame game against Austin Peay presented by D.H. Elliott Services. The Colonels will kick off at 6:00 p.m.
The weekend is highlighted by a day of full activities prior and during the football game.
EKU will host its Kids at the Kidd game on Saturday. Kids at the Kidd invites all kids to our game to enjoy a variety of opportunities for a joyful day of football. Parents can use this link to redeem a complimentary ticket with additional tickets available at a discounted rate for all kids under the age of 12. All kids will gather right before halftime at the hill with an opportunity to run out of the team entrance just like the EKU Football team does. Additionally, the first 250 kids will receive a t-shirt designed by a Junior Colonel, Silas, as a part of the Kids at the Kidd T-shirt Design Contest.
The game day experience begins Saturday morning at 9:00 a.m. when all parking and tailgate lots open for the general public. The Colonel Courtyard will be a highlighted experience of the tailgate atmosphere. The area will once again be a featured location in the tailgate lot in between the Alumni Coliseum lot and Roy Kidd Stadium. This space opens at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday and will feature the Colonel-val, live music by the Sweeney Rebellion, band and spirit squad performances at Earle Combs Stadium, food trucks, inflatables, sponsors, and more.
In addition, this weekend EKU Athletics will also induct its 2025 Hall of Fame class. The class is scheduled to be enshrined inside at the EKU Center for the Arts on Saturday, Oct. 11 at 12:00 p.m. For more information about this year's Hall of Fame class and induction please visit this link.
While you are inside Roy Kidd Stadium, don't forget to enjoy the variety of concessions offered by EKU Dining Services and Aramark. This weekend's featured item of the game is the Pecan Bacon Shoulder Sandwich! The sandwich special features pecan smoked bacon shoulder topped with pickled red onion and arugula salad served on a hoagie roll. This item is served fresh at all our concession locations throughout the stadium.
EKU Athletics will also continue to host a family zone located above the hill behind the cannon with inflatables and yard games for kids and families inside the stadium, while providing access to view the game.
Please note that the stadium light show will be played after EKU scores, between quarters, and other crucial moments during the game. A graphic will be shown on the video board before the light show begins and light show announcements will be read over the public address system throughout the game.
EKU would like to remind fans of some good to know information when coming to football games this season.
