Men’s Tennis Road Bound for Jacksonville State, Chattanooga, Middle Tennessee

JACKSONVILLE, Ala. – The Eastern Kentucky University men's tennis program will hit the road for three matches this weekend beginning at Jacksonville State on Friday, at Chattanooga on Saturday, and at Middle Tennessee on Sunday.
 
EKU (3-6) is coming off a 6-1 loss to Xavier last time out, however, the Colonels have won two of their last three matches entering this weekend's stretch.
 
Junior Nuno Pinheiro gained EKU's only point in the loss to Xavier, defeating his opponent 2-6, 7-5, 12-10 in comeback fashion.  On the season, Pinheiro has an undefeated 6-0 record in singles from the Colonels' top three courts, including a 3-0 mark from court No. 1.

Scouting Jacksonville State
Jacksonville State (1-0) opened its season with a 6-1 win over Alabama A&M on Feb.1.  Sophomore Marko Milosavljevic led the club with a straight-set 6-3 win on court No. 2.
 
Scouting Chattanooga
Chattanooga (1-5) enters Saturday's match coming off a tight 4-3 loss to Gardner-Webb on Feb. 2.  The Mocs have losses this season to No. 11 Mississippi State, Georgia State, South Carolina State, and GWU.  
 
Scouting Middle Tennessee
One of the premier mid-major programs in the country, Middle Tennessee (3-5) enters Sunday's match on a three-match skid with losses to power-5 Auburn, Alabama, and Vanderbilt.  The Blue Raiders have wins this season over Lipscomb, UT Southern, and Miami (Fla.) in the ITA Kickoff Weekend.  Junior Karim Al-Amin leads MTSU with a 3-5 record from the No. 1 court, however, the Blue Raiders sport a 21-7 singles record from their back four courts.
