RICHMOND, Ky. – MJ Williams, a 5-foot-10 point guard from Farmville, North Carolina, has signed to play collegiate basketball at Eastern Kentucky University.
Williams was a finalist for North Carolina Mr. Basketball this past season. He was ranked as the No. 15 player in North Carolina and the third ranked point guard.

As a senior at Farmville Central High School, Williams averaged 25 points, 7.0 assists, 6.5 rebounds and 1.8 steals per game. He was chosen to the all-state team, picked as the NCBCA Region 3 Player of the Year, the Eastern Plains Conference Player of the Year and to the John Wall Invitational All-Tournament team.
Williams scored 31 points and had nine rebounds against Reidsville High School in the John Wall Invitational. He scored 46 points against Millbrook High School and finished with 35 points in a win that clinched the regular season conference championship.
Following the season, Williams was picked to play in the 252/919 All-Star Game.
Williams started in three state championship games at Farmville Central and helped the team win the 2023 championship. As a junior, he averaged 15.8 points, 2.3 assists and 1.1 steals per game.
