Women’s Tennis Falls to Lipscomb on Sunday

RICHMOND, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University women's tennis team fell to Lipscomb, 4-3, on Sunday afternoon inside the Greg Adams Tennis Center.
 
With Sunday's loss, EKU (9-18, 2-6 ASUN) has its hopes at qualifying for a spot in the 2025 Atlantic Sun Conference Tournament repelled.  The Colonels will close out the regular season hosting Central Arkansas next weekend.
 
EKU won the doubles point with victories on courts one and three.  In singles, Sasha Parkhomenko and Marilou Cote took their opponents to three sets and prevailed. 
 
Parkhomeno defeated Mariia Dolzhenko 7-6, 4-6, 7-6 on court two and Cote won in 5-7, 6-1, 6-1 comeback fashion over Deborah Collado on court four.  The Bisons took the four other singles courts in straight sets.

Next Up
EKU returns to action on April 13 against Central Arkansas at 10 a.m. ET.  The match will be the final of the season for the Colonels who will not qualify for the ASUN Tournament as the current seventh-ranked team in the conference.
