RICHMOND, Ky. - Eastern Kentucky University women's golf program has signed transfer Lanie Campbell, as head coach
Mandy Moore announced on Friday.
Campbell joins the Colonels after playing three seasons at Middle Tennessee State.
"We are so happy to be adding Lanie to our team this fall," said Moore on the signing. "I believe she will make an immediate impact on our team on and off the course. She has a lot of great collegiate experience, and I'm really excited for the opportunity to coach her."
Last season, Campbell shot a 75.44 scoring average through 25 rounds in nine stroke play events. Her top finish came in the Commonwealth at the Cardinal Cup, finishing tied for 13
th, shooting a season-low 54-hole total of 226 (+6) with a season-best round of 70 (-2) on the final day.
She additionally finished last season at the Conference USA Championship in 23
rd place and led the Blue Raiders on the season with 68 birdies.
Outside of collegiate play, Campbell has won the 2024 TN Women's Match Play Championship, finished tied for 5
th at the 2024 Tennessee Women's Open, and finished tied for ninth at the Tennessee Women's Amateur.
A native of Ethridge, Tenn., Campbell played for her father Jon at Summertown High School, recording an average of 71.2 in 2021 while being a TWSA All-State selection in 2019, 2020, and 2021.
In high school, she helped Summertown to four state championships while finishing in the top 10 individually each year.
She is a business major and the daughter of Jon and Stacie Campbell, with three sisters Karlie, Hadlie, and Paislie.
