JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Atlantic Sun Conference and Eastern Kentucky University women's basketball program announced the Colonels' 2025-26 conference schedule on Tuesday morning.
The 18-game ASUN slate will begin New Year's Day and run until late February. EKU will play nine of the league's 11 opponents at Baptist Health Arena, where the Colonels hold a 76 percent winning percentage under fifth-year head coach
Greg Todd.
Under Todd's leadership, EKU has posted back-to-back 20-win campaigns for the first time in 23 years and had consecutive appearances in its conference tournament semifinals game for the first time in eight years. Additionally, in the last two seasons, the Colonels earned an at-large bid to the Women's National Invitational Tournament (WNIT) for the second time in program history and produced six all-conference performers.
Furthermore, EKU posted its second-highest NCAA NET ranking in program history last season, coming in at No. 123 during the first poll of the year. The Colonels finished the year as the third-best team in the ASUN Conference ranked No. 172, which was the highest final ranking for EKU in the NET era.
Conference play opens with back-to-back home games against West Georgia on Jan. 1 and Queens on Jan. 3. The Colonels will then travel for contests at North Alabama on Jan. 8 and Central Arkansas on Jan. 10.
Three of EKU's next four games will be at home against Lipscomb on Jan. 15, Jacksonville on Jan. 22, and North Florida on Jan. 24. The lone road contest during that stretch is a trip to in-state rival Bellarmine on Jan. 17.
The month concludes with a three-game road swing, featuring match ups at West Georgia on Jan. 29, Queens on Jan. 31, and Lipscomb on Feb. 5.
In mid-February, EKU has a critical three-game home stand, hosting Austin Peay on Feb. 7, Central Arkansas on Feb. 12, and North Alabama on Feb. 14.
The Colonels will then close the road portion of the schedule with games at Florida Gulf Coast on Feb. 19, Stetson on Feb. 21, and Austin Peay on Feb. 25 apart of the conference's new scheduling buildout. Since joining the ASUN in 2021, EKU has played seven of its eight match ups against FGCU on the road.
The regular season will conclude with a home game against Bellarmine on Feb. 27.
The ASUN Conference Tournament is scheduled for March 3–9 in Jacksonville at VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena. EKU has qualified for the conference tournament each year since becoming a league member in 2021 and has reached the semifinals in consecutive seasons, including a host-bid last March as the No. 4 overall seed.
