KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Fresh off a season-opening win, the Eastern Kentucky University women's soccer team will travel to face the University of Tennessee on Sunday at Regal Soccer Stadium.
 
Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET, fans making the trip to Knoxville can enjoy free admission to the venue. The game will stream live on SEC Network+ with Andy Brock and Erin Gilroy on the call.
 
EKU (1-0) opened its 2025 campaign Thursday with a 3-1 win over Toledo, powered by two goals from sophomore forward Ella Grode, a Preseason All-ASUN selection and member of the United Soccer Coaches Forwards to Watch List, and a goal from senior midfielder Maddy Murphy.
 
All three goals came with assists, credited to Murphy, Peyton Smith and junior midfielder Chiara Premoli, a Preseason All-ASUN honoree. Premoli's assist in the 79th minute was her first of the season and the eighth of her career. Dating back to last season, the Italy native has recorded six assists in her last six games.
 
Freshman goalkeeper Jordan LeVasseur also impressed in her debut, making 11 saves, the most by an EKU keeper since 2021 to earn the win in net.
 
Scouting Tennessee
The Lady Volunteers (1-0) made national headlines Thursday by defeating defending national champion and current No. 1 North Carolina, 2-0, in Knoxville.
 
Redshirt junior Shae O'Rourke scored both goals, while sophomore goalkeeper Cayden Norris posted a shutout with five saves.
 
Series History
Sunday's matchup marks the first meeting between EKU and Tennessee. The Colonels are seeking their first win over a Southeastern Conference (SEC) opponent since defeating Kentucky, 1-0, in 2018.
