EKU Plays At Austin Peay Before Hosting Bellarmine On Saturday

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Riding a 2-game winning streak, the Eastern Kentucky University men's basketball team will play at Austin Peay State University on Thursday before hosting in-state conference rival Bellarmine University on Saturday.
 
Thursday's game will begin at 8 p.m. ET.  Saturday's contest is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET.  Both games will air live on ESPN+.  The live audio broadcast of the game is available worldwide on EKUSports.com and the EKUSports app.
 
Saturday will be Ignite Night as we honor local nonprofits, churches and community organizations that make a difference very day in our community.
 
THE COLONELS
-  EKU (6-11, 2-2 ASUN) is coming off homecourt victories over North Alabama and Central Arkansas.
 
-  The Colonels ranks sixth in the nation in 3-pointers per game (11.4) and sixth in 3-pointers attempted per game (33.8).
 
-  Since returning from an injury, Jalen Cooper is averaging 6.5 rebounds over the last four games.
 
-  Austin Ball hit a career-high five 3-pointers in EKU's overtime win against Central Arkansas.
 
SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS
-  Austin Peay is 10-5 overall and 4-0 in league games.  The Governors have won six straight, including ASUN contests against North Florida, Jacksonville, Florida Gulf Coast and Stetson.  
 
- APSU leads the conference in scoring defense (69.5), field goal percentage defense (42.8) and 3-point field goal percentage defense (31.2).  The Governors lead the ASUN and are sixth in the nation in turnover margin (+5.93) and third in the country with 11.4 steals per game.  Newcomer Collin Parker, a 6-foot-8 forward, leads the team in scoring (16.2 ppg) and is second in rebounding (5.9 rpg).
 
-  Bellarmine sits at 6-10 this season and 1-3 in ASUN games.  The Knights will play at Lipscomb on Thursday.
 
-  Jack Karasinski leads the team in scoring (20.7 ppg) and rebounding (5.4 rpg).  The 6-foot-7 senior forward is first in the ASUN in scoring, second in field goal percentage (56.9%) and 17th in rebounding.  Bellarmine leads the conference in field goal percentage (51.9%) and free throw percentage (77.8%) and is second in 3-point field goal percentage (36.2%).
 
INSIDE THE SERIES
-  Austin Peay leads the all-time series 67-58.  EKU is 20-40 in games played in Clarksville.  The Colonels have won four of the last six meetings, including the most recent by an 88-82 score on Feb. 1, 2025 in Richmond.
 
-  EKU is 8-3 all-time against Bellarmine and has won four of the last five meetings.  The Knights picked up an 80-74 victory in the most recent contest on Feb. 20, 2025 in Louisville.
