First-Place EKU Women’s Basketball Hosts Jacksonville, North Florida This Week

Colonels Sit Atop ASUN Standings With 6-0 Record

RICHMOND, Ky. – Riding an eight-game winning streak, the Eastern Kentucky University women's basketball team returns home this week to host Atlantic Sun Conference foes Jacksonville Dolphins and North Florida Ospreys inside Baptist Health Arena.

EKU will face Jacksonville on Thursday, Jan. 22, at 6:30 p.m. ET before welcoming North Florida on Saturday, Jan. 24, with tipoff moved to 11 a.m. ET due to impending winter weather in the region.

Tickets for both games are available starting at $5  online here or at the door. Fans unable to attend can watch live on ESPN+ or listen for free on the Colonel All-Access page and @EKUWBB's live stream on X.

EKU (15-4, 6-0 ASUN) enters the fourth week of conference play atop the ASUN standings for the first time since joining the league. The Colonels are coming off a pair of victories last week, including a 69-60 home win over Lipscomb and a dominant 90-46 road victory at Bellarmine.

The 44-point win at Bellarmine marked the third-largest margin of victory against a conference opponent in program history. EKU has recorded both the largest and third-largest conference wins in school history this season, including a 54-point victory over Queens on Jan. 3.

EKU is also earning national recognition, receiving 10 votes in the CollegeInsider.com Women's Mid-Major Top 25 poll for the 15th time during the Greg Todd era. The Colonels are ranked No. 118 in the latest NCAA NET rankings, just two spots shy of the program's NET-era high of No. 116 set on Nov. 30, 2025.

Senior guard Ndidiamaka Ndukwe enters the week on a strong run in conference play, scoring 20 or more points in three consecutive games. The Inkster, Michigan, native posted 22 points at Central Arkansas on Jan. 10, a season-high 25 points against Lipscomb on Jan. 15, and 23 points at Bellarmine on Jan. 17. She ranks second in the ASUN in league scoring at 18.0 points per game.

Kentucky natives Kenleigh Woods and Jasmine Jordan also turned in career performances in the win at Bellarmine, scoring 20 and 15 points, respectively. The Ashland, Kentucky, duo combined to knock down five three-pointers in the victory.

Sophomore guard Liz Freihofer continues to lead EKU on the season, averaging 13.8 points per game while scoring in double figures in 17 of the team's 19 contests.

With two wins this week, the Colonels would move to 8-0 in conference play for the first time in program history.
