EKU (22-7, 13-3 ASUN) enters Wednesday in first place in the Atlantic Sun Conference standings and needs one win in its final two regular season games to secure at least a share of the ASUN Regular Season Championship.
With a victory, the Colonels would capture their 11th regular season title in program history and their first conference championship since the 2004-05 season.
Despite holding the top spot in the standings, EKU has dropped three of its last four contests. The Colonels' most recent victory came on Feb. 14 with a 73-56 win over North Alabama at home.
Offensively, EKU leads the ASUN averaging 72.9 points per game. Senior forward
Joseana Vaz paces the Colonels at 14.3 points per game and has led the team in scoring in each of the last five games.
Vaz erupted for a career-high 33 points in EKU's Feb. 7 win over Austin Peay, shooting 12-of-19 from the field and 4-of-8 from 3-point range. Since then, she has posted 16 points against Central Arkansas, 17 points against North Alabama, 17 points at FGCU, and 22 points at Stetson.
