RICHMOND, Ky. – The Eastern Kentucky University women's tennis program suffered a 6-1 loss to Chattanooga on Saturday inside the Greg Adams Tennis Center.
With the loss, EKU moves to 2-6 on the season.
The Colonels dropped the doubles point with a 6-2 loss on court one and narrow 7-5 defeat on court two.
In singles, EKU claimed one court but fell on five others resulting in the 6-1 defeat. Senior
Ceylin Ipek won her match on court three defeating UTC's Savannah Presson in straight 6-3 sets.
EKU returns to action next Friday hosting Northern Kentucky and UNC Asheville. Match times are listed at 10 a.m. ET and 3 p.m. back at the GATC.
