COLUMBIA, Mo. – The Eastern Kentucky University women's tennis team split a doubleheader in the Show Me State dropping a 4-0 match at Missouri and winning a 4-3 thriller over Lindenwood on Thursday.
With the results, EKU moves to 7-12 on the season and improved to 2-7 in true road games. The Colonels snapped a six-match losing streak with their victory over Lindenwood in the night cap.
Sasha Parkhomenko,
Marilou Cote, and
Izem Elif Olcer all won singles matches over Lindenwood to secure the win after picking up the doubles point. Cote won in straight sets while Parkhomenko and Olcer went to three.
EKU returns to action on March 22 at old conference foe Belmont. First serve is scheduled for 11 a.m. ET.
