NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Eastern Kentucky University took a 2-1 lead into the bottom of the ninth inning, but Lipscomb tied it and then earned a 3-2 win in 12 innings on Friday in Nashville, Tennessee.

The Colonels drew first blood two batters into the game. After
Pedro Moreno walked,
Dylan Littlefield hit his eighth home run of the season, sending the first pitch he saw over the wall in right field.

Lipscomb cut the deficit in half on Cam Pruitt's home run to start the bottom of the second.

EKU starter
Bradley Gagen turned in a quality start. The redshirt junior allowed one run on five hits, walked one and struck out four in six innings.

Alexander Llinas was just as effective for the Bisons. He struck out nine, walked two and allowed two runs on four hits through 6 1/3 innings.

Lipscomb (12-11, 5-2 ASUN) got the tying run to second base in the bottom of the seventh with two outs, but
Griffin Howell struck out leadoff batter Brady Miller looking, to end the threat.

The Bisons loaded the bases with two outs in the bottom of the eighth. EKU went to closer
Jack Bell who got a strikeout on four pitches to send the Colonels to the ninth up 2-1.

The home team finally broke through in the bottom of the ninth. With one out, pinch hitter Danny Ramirez hit a game-tying home run over the wall in right field. Another home run, this time by Brock Beddingfield to start the bottom of the 12th gave the Bisons the win.

Littlefield finished 1-for-6 with a run and two RBIs.Â
David Alvarez had two hits in four at bats for the Colonels (7-19, 2-5 ASUN).

Pruitt finished 2-for-5 with a run and an RBI for Lipscomb.
