RICHMOND, Ky. – As the 2026 season winds down, the Eastern Kentucky University men's tennis team will host Southern Indiana and Bellarmine on Wednesday at the Greg Adams Tennis Center.
 
Match times are scheduled for 9:30 a.m. ET against Southern Indiana and 4 p.m. ET against Bellarmine. Matches will be played either outdoors or inside the Greg Adams Tennis Center, depending on weather conditions.
 
The Colonels will honor a six-member senior class that includes Adrian Contreras, Fernando Bulnes, Kartik Parhar, Nuno Pinheiro, Pepe Miralles and Romeo Elfving Navarro for their contributions to the program. Senior Day festivities are scheduled to begin at approximately 9 a.m.
 
EKU (9-13) enters Wednesday's doubleheader looking to snap a stretch that has seen the team win just one of its last five matches. The Colonels' most recent victory came March 4 with a 5-2 win over Northern Kentucky in Richmond.
 
Bulnes leads EKU with an 8-7 singles record, primarily competing at the No. 2 position. The Badajoz, Spain native has won three of his last six matches entering Wednesday.
 
Freshman Ilie Cazac has compiled a 7-7 record at the No. 3 position. Pinheiro and freshman Joao Barreto are tied for third on the team with six singles wins each, competing primarily at the No. 1 and No. 4 positions, respectively.
 
Southern Indiana (4-10) enters Wednesday on a six-match losing streak, including recent losses to Belmont, Tennessee Tech and Butler. Senior Mathyz Bove leads the Screaming Eagles with a 7-7 record at the No. 3 spot.
 
Bellarmine (4-12) arrives on a three-match skid following losses to Xavier, Louisville and Butler since March 20. Senior Matthew Nice leads the Knights with a 13-14 overall record, including a 7-7 mark at the No. 1 position.
 
Bellarmine will look to even the season series after EKU claimed the first meeting, 4-3, on Feb. 1 in Louisville.
