RICHMOND, Ky. – Justin McCarter, the No. 44 ranked junior college player in the nation, has signed to play basketball at Eastern Kentucky University.

The 6-foot-6 guard earned first team all-region honors after averaging 17.3 points, 7.7 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 1.7 steals per game as a redshirt sophomore in 2025-26 at Northeast Oklahoma A&M College. He shot 46% from the field and 33% from 3-point range.

McCarter, a Marietta, Georgia native, had a season-best 32 points against Central Baptist and a season-high 11 rebounds against Northern Oklahoma College -Tonkawa. He handed out a season-high 11 assists against Oklahoma Wesleyan.

As a redshirt freshman in 2024-25 at South Georgia College, McCarter averaged 17.3 points, 8.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.7 steals while shooting 46% from the field. He recorded a season-high 28 points against South Crescent Tech and pulled down 18 rebounds in a game against Georgia Highlands.

McCarter began his college career in 2023-24 when he redshirted at Lincoln Memorial University. He played prep ball at Osborne High School.
