RICHMOND, Ky. – Eastern Kentucky University announced its match promotions for the upcoming volleyball season.
 
The home opener on Sept. 15 against Marshall will include t-shirt and poster giveaways.  Alumni Weekend is set for Sept. 18-19 when the Colonels host the Geri Polvino Invitational.  All three matches against Presbyterian, Tennessee Tech and Appalachian State will feature a $10 Concession Combo of a hot dog, fries and a drink.  Friday's contest against TTU at 7 p.m. will be free for Kids Club members.  Saturday's match against ASU will be free for Pet Club members.
 
The first United Athletic Conference home match on Oct. 1 against Tarleton will be Girls Night Out.  There will be temporary tattoos, a bracelet-making station, face painting and pizza.  The match will be free for all Junior Colonel Club members.
 
The Oct. 6 match against Austin Peay will be Sip & Serve Night.  The special $10 ticket package includes admission to the match, an EKU wine glass and one complimentary mocktail.  The Dig Pink Game is scheduled for Oct. 10 against North Alabama.  The team will honor Breast Cancer Awareness Month with a pink EKU cap giveaway to the first 75 fans.
 
Senior Day will be held on Oct. 17 when Abilene Christian visits Baptist Health Arena.  The match against Little Rock on Oct. 22 will be free for Kids Club members.
 
The match on Oct. 23 against Central Arkansas will be during Homecoming Weekend and will be free for Pet Club members.  Youth Night/Trick or Treat on the Concourse is scheduled for Oct. 29 when EKU hosts Texas-Arlington.  There will be trick-or-treating with EKU athletes on the concourse.  Kids will receive an EKU bag to trick-o- treat with.  Youth Night will include free admission for kids 12 and under as well as a postgame autograph session.  There will be a Big E Rewards Pop-Up Shop before the match.
 
The final home match of the season, on Nov. 6 against West Georgia, will include a Student Life tumbler giveaway and volleyball bingo.  In partnership with Student Life, EKU branded tumblers will be available to the first 100 students.  Fans will have the chance to win great prizes by playing volleyball bingo during the match.
 
The Colonels will host an exhibition match against Morehead State on Aug. 22 at Baptist Health Arena.  The season will begin at the Bluegrass Battle hosted by Kentucky on Aug. 28-29.
 
EKU tied for second in the Atlantic Sun Conference in 2025 and advanced to the ASUN Tournament championship match.   The Colonels have won 20 or more matches in three straight seasons, the first time the program has accomplished that since 2003-05.
